ARHOME (previously known as Arkansas Works or the private option) is a Medicaid program that offers eligible Arkansans private health insurance coverage. This insurance is offered through qualified health plans from Arkansas BlueCross BlueShield, Arkansas Health & Wellness (Ambetter), and QualChoice. Members receive insurance cards to use at medical offices and hospitals.
Arkansans between the ages of 19-64 who are not enrolled in Medicare and who earn less than 138 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible for ARHOME. The plans are offered to qualified individuals at no cost or with low-cost copays, depending on income levels.
